SYNOPSIS OF THE FINAL COUNTDOWN
The Final Countdown centers around one of the most valued pieces of real estate in the world: the Temple Mount, which will soon become center stage as events during these closing years come to their final conclusion.
After the desolation of Jerusalem in 70 AD, the Holy City was in a state of disrepair and ruins until 1517, when the Ottomans took control for the next four centuries. Sultan Suleiman soon became the ruler who was given a dream that he was to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and beautify the Temple Mount.
Known as Suleiman the Magnificent, he was God’s chosen vessel to fulfill Isaiah’s prophecy (Isaiah 60:10) of rebuilding God’s Holy City of Jerusalem. In 1537 he issued a decree to restore the Temple Mount and preserved his decrees on stone plaques, providing a permanent record, etched in stone.
